Vernon W. Nemire, 91, of Archbold passed away early Tuesday morning at Community Health and Wellness Centers in Montpelier. He was born on April 19, 1929 in Putnam County, Ohio to Amza Harry and Mary Violet (Burwell) Nemire. Vernon graduated from Pandora High School in 1947.
He was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold. Vernon was in the bowling business from 1959-2012, he owned and operated NeCo Lanes in Montpelier and NuArch in Archbold. Prior to that he was a private construction business owner in the Putnam County area. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his children Terry (Cathy) Nemire of Camden, Michigan, Susan (Jody) McCamis of Columbus, Montana, and Cindi (Ric) Byers of Montpelier, Tina Stanley, Mary Austin and Todd Nemire all of Archbold; thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. At one time Vernon was married to Beatrice, the late Judith and the late Mary Lou.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Amza Ray, Russell and Paul Nemire.
Vernon will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.
