Victor E. Silcott II, 49, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 12, 2024, at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Ernie was born December 20, 1974, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Victor E. and Betsy A. (Kaylor) Silcott. He was a 1994 graduate of Hicksville High School. Ernie was an over-the-road truck driver for Crete Trucking, traveling to all 48 states. In his free time, he loved fishing with his grandchildren, being outdoors gardening, and helping others whenever there was an opportunity.
Ernie is survived by his mother, Betsy Silcott of Antwerp, Ohio; two siblings, Bruce (Tammy) Silcott of Hicksville, and Tamara (John) Rubarski of East Lansing, Michigan; son, Caleb Walters of Hicksville; two nieces, Whitney (Lee) Paustian and Tori Silcott; two nephews, Brandon Silcott and Cody Bunn; companion, Kay Zartman of Hicksville; three step-daughters, Ashton (Jeffrey) Willis of Waterloo, Indiana, Tasha (Stefan) Patterson of Hicksville, and Kayla (Kody) Grant of Hicksville; six step-grandchildren, Piper, Sophia, Isaak, Mabel, Deaglan, and Kalliope; step-mother, Terry Silcott of Hicksville; three step-siblings, Joyce Fogle of Hicksville, Troy (Tina) Fogle of Hicksville, and Adam (Angie) Fogle of Kendallville, Indiana Ernie was preceded in death by his father, Victor; maternal grandparents, Frank and Gertrude Kaylor; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Kathryn Silcott.
