Vintage Baseball To Be Played At Sauder

You’re in for an after­noon of old-time base­ball on Sat­ur­day, July 26 as the Great Black Swamp Frogs, the Spiegel Grove Squires and the Elkhart County Rail­road­ers gather for a Vin­tage Base Ball Tour­na­ment at Sauder Vil­lage. IT’s three base­ball games being played using rules from the 1860s.

This is the fourth year for a Vin­tage Base Ball Tour­na­ment to be held at Sauder Vil­lage.

Both teams, dressed in vin­tage uni­forms, will play by 1860s rules. The team with either the best record or the most runs scored over­all will win the tour­na­ment and the win­ning team will receive a hand-made trav­el­ing tro­phy made at Sauder Vil­lage. Between the games, chil­dren will have a chance to run the bases.
