Virginia Maxine Beltz, 97

Virginia Maxine Beltz, 97, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Vancrest of Hicksville. Virginia was born June 15, 1926, in Hicksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Forrest and Maude (Platter) Moore. She graduated from Hicksville High School in the class of 1944. On February 24, 1951, she married John Beltz who passed away on November 15, 1980. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hicksville, Ohio. Virginia was also a former member of the Hicksville Eagles- Women’s Auxiliary. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, travelling, and going on bus trips. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Surviving are her three children, Joyce (Robert) Valois of Roanoke, Indiana, Richard (Delores) Beltz of Hicksville, Ohio, and Mona (Dan) Michael of Antwerp, Ohio; four grandchildren, Adam (Holly) Beltz, Mitchell Beltz, John (Michaela) Michael and Jared Michael; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Arrissa, Ada, Axel, and Mabel-Ann. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Beltz; brother, Bruce Moore; sister, Leila Hanna.

Visitation for Virginia will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville where funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Doseck officiating. Interment will follow at Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army or Cripple Childrens & Adult Society.
