Vivian Louise Salzman, 97 years, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Hillside Country Living, where she had been a resident. Vivian was born March 19, 1916 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Vernon E. and Clela (nee Chamberlain) Allion. she married Harrison Frederick Salzman, and he preceded her in death in 1969. Vivian assisted her husband in running Salzman Electric for 30 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir and was involved with the ladies organizations. She was also a member of the Progressive Study Club. Vivian found enjoyment in tending to her garden, reading, travelling, antiquing and listening to music.
Surviving are her two daughters, Kathryn (Martin) Bunin of New York, New York and Karen (Ira) Gershenhorn of New York, New York; two grandchildren, Marisa Gershenhorn and Zachary Bunin and her sister, Ruth Allion. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Kent Salzman and her brother, Lee Allion.
