It looks like the village of West Unity may have some serious problems concerning it’s sewer plan. The Bryan Times reports that village officials fear the plant may now be too small after some compliance problems at the plant were revealed last week. Additionally, the plant’s ultraviolet disinfection system is not working properly. Village officials found out that the plant is undersized for the sewer load coming from the Ohio Turnpike plazas. There have been problems since the plazas came online with the system in 2011. Now, village officials are looking into what needs to be done to correct the problems.
