Williams County commissioners to go with a two-year contract for energy aggregation.

The Williams County commissioners accept a recommendation to go with a two-year contract for energy aggregation, and may offer the program up to more of the county. The commissioners met with Amy Hoffman of Palmer Energy Co., the county’s electric aggregation consultant. She provided results from the recent request for proposals sent out for a new energy contract. The current one expires at the end of the year. Hoffman recommends…the county go with a two-year deal. There were two suppliers who responded… Dynergy and Energy Harbor. Hoffman said Palmer staff will check next Monday which one has the lowest price at that time, and will then send a contract for the commissioners to sign. The most recent prices show rates to be 6.7 cents per kilowatt hour, compared to 11 cents per kWh with a private utility company.
