Williams County Land Bank closing in on demolishing its first property

Going, going, and almost gone…the Bryan Times reports the Williams County Land Bank is closing in on demolishing its first property and has been approached about taking on three others in Bryan, land bank board members learned at their monthly meeting Monday. The land bank could formally acquire the fire-damaged house at 503 S. Williams St. in Bryan this week and also received a price for demolition of $8,460, which includes removing all debris, according to land bank board chairman Brian Wieland. After some discussion, board members said they would ask for a revised price that includes removing tree stumps on the lot where necessary.
