Williams County man died Sunday evening in a one-vehicle crash south of Edgerton

A Williams County man died Sunday evening in a one-vehicle crash south of EDGERTON that also injured his passenger. The crash ended a pursuit by Defiance County law enforcement on Hicksville-Edgerton Road, north of Kramer Road, in Defiance County . Dead is 38 year old Joshua Pettit of Edgerton, while his passenger, 37 year old Corey Apt, also of Edgerton, sustained minor injuries. Apt was taken by emergency personnel to the Williams County Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, and treated for minor injuries. Troopers reported that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
