Williams County under county-wide fire ban.

Being in a rainless and dry condition situation has led Williams County fire chiefs to issue a county-wide fire ban for the foreseeable future. The ban will be in place until Williams County receives significant rainfall. The burn ban will be lifted once the county receives significant rainfall.

Looking at the U.S. Drought Monitor, the county is in a moderate drought as of the latest report from last week.
