WIND DAMAGE REPORTED IN NEY

The vil­lage of Ney, 6 miles south of Bryan, got hit by the effects of what may have been a fun­nel cloud over the week­end.

The National Weather Ser­vice says the dam­age came from straight-line winds, but they are inves­ti­gat­ing the pos­si­bil­ity that a small tor­nado may have been sighted.

The Bryan Times reports that one home on Beer­bower Road lost all it’s win­dows and a one car garage was destroyed, along with trees being downed through­out the area. There have been no reports of any injuries fol­low­ing the storm that passed through the area on Sat­ur­day afternoon.
