A DeKalb County barn catches fire, sending a large plume of smoke into the sky. Crews responded to the 3400 block of County Road 18. Multiple agencies went the scene as a precaution because there were other structures near the fire. A man who identified himself as a family member of the barn’s owner tells the media that the blaze destroyed some farm equipment, including a combine. No livestock died in the fire. State and local officials are handling the investigation.
