10-year-old who was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that killed a 9-year-old over the weekend has passed away.

Authorities said on Tuesday that a 10-year-old who was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that killed a 9-year-old over the weekend has passed away.  According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the 10-year-old was transported to the hospital following the collision in Pleasant Township on Saturday afternoon, but he passed away on Tuesday from his wounds. At the scene, the 9-year-old youngster was declared dead.   The sheriff’s office reports that a 38-year-old man from Leipsic was driving an SUV when a 17-year-old from New Bavaria failed to stop at a stop sign at the junction with County Road Y while driving a pick-up truck south on County Road 18. The SUV included the kids.  While the 17-year-old received on-site treatment for minor injuries, the 38-year-old was transported to the hospital for his wounds.  The crash is still being investigated, according to the sheriff’s office.
