12-year-old girl turns self in for BMS bomb threat

An arrest has been made for the bomb threat at Bryan Mid­dle School last Thurs­day that forced the school to be evacuated.

The 12-year-old female stu­dent turned her­self in. Bryan Police Chief Michael Willis said the Williams County Juve­nile Pro­ba­tion Depart­ment will get the report. The pros­e­cu­tor will ulti­mately decide if charges should be filed against the girl.

Ohio has more bomb threats than any other state, accord­ing to the National School Safety and Secu­rity Ser­vices. Dur­ing a five month period this year, Ohio had 64 bomb threats.
