40 Years Ago This Week

This week marks the 40th anniversary of the Blizzard of 78. Area residents still recall the storm that dumped more than 20 inches of snow and brought most activities around here to a standstill for days. The National Weather Service said the Great Blizzard of 1978 came during one of the coldest winters on record across the central and eastern United States.
