81st GOP Race Lined Up

Incumbent Jim Hoops, of Napoleon, will face off against Tom Liebrecht, of Putnam County, in the May 8 GOP primary for the 81st Ohio House District seat. We now hear Janet Breneman, of West Unity, filed as a Democrat for the seat prior to this week’s deadline for the primary. In addition to Williams and Henry counties, the 81st also includes Putnam County and part of Fulton County. Hoops was appointed in early January to fill the seat formerly held by Rob McColley…who was sworn in in December to fill the District 5 seat, vacated by the October resignation of Cliff Hite.
