Students in Continental Local Schools collected foods to restock two food pantries in Putnam County. The donations help the Continental United Methodist Church, and the Dupont Church of the Brethren feed families once a month on the fourth Tuesday. Those individuals sign up for the program. According to Methodist Church member Carolyn Etter, their program serves about 70 families each month. The Dupont program serves about 50. Both programs told the students how much their hard work was appreciated in the story in the Bryan Times.
