A $15 million grant from the federal government will help Ohio create more than 1,000 temporary jobs for efforts to clean up and recover from severe storms that battered the state last summer in late June and early July.
The U.S. Department of Labor initially announced a grant for up to $21 million last fall but released only $6 million of that for hundreds of temporary jobs. The department said Tuesday the $15.4 million newly announced for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services represents the rest of the award.
