Defiance to apply for ODNR path grant

In Defiance, City Council says they are applying for a state grant to help pay for a new path to the reservoir. The application is due by February 1 to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. If ODNR approves the application, the recreational trail program grant would provide 75 percent of the cost of the walking path’s construction. That comes out to about $150,000. The city has set aside $50,000 to complete the project.
