It’s being called the worst drug epidemic of our lifetimes. The Ohio Department of Health has released numbers for 2014, showing it was one of the deadliest years in the state for unintentional drug overdoses leading to death. The 2015 data has not been released. The new numbers show in 2014, 2,482 people died of overdoses, up 17% from the year before. Locally, there were 21 overdose deaths in the six county area in 2014.
