OSHA investigating death of Defiance GM worker

It could be six months before we hear how a GM Defiance electrician died on Tuesday after falling in the plant. 50-year-old Terry Bodenbender was reportedly doing maintenance on an overhead crane when he fell up to 30 feet and died at the scene. OSHA based in Toledo will do a thorough investigation to see if any workplace safety rules or regulations were violated. They’re gathering evidence now, interviewing employees who work at the GM facility and reviewing documents and records about the plant. OSHA says falls are one of the leading causes of death in the workplace.
