Tax holiday proposed

State Senator Kevin Bacon, a Defiance native, has introduced a bill that would make Ohio’s sales tax holiday permanent. During its first year last August, Ohio shoppers could buy certain clothing and back to school items without paying state or local sales tax. Bacon’s latest proposal would make the three day suspension of the taxes an annual event. Ohio lawmakers must approve this bill before they break in June.
