Hicksville says OK to new water tower

A new water tower has been approved for Hicksville. The location hasn’t been determined. The Village Council approved the plan on Monday. The village has two water towers but is only using one of them for water. The other is used as a backup, and holds communication, emergency services and cable TV equipment. The estimated cost is a half-a-million dollars, then additional cost for demolishing the old tower.
