The Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio, the largest independent supporter of breast cancer services, has awarded nearly half a million dollars in grants for the 2016-2017 service year to provide services in Northwest Ohio and Monroe County, Michigan. The money will pay for screening mammograms, diagnostic testing, treatment, survivorship support, patient navigation, and education to uninsured and underinsured women and men. Those organizations getting the grant money include the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio, Mercy Health Partners, ProMedica Cancer Institute and YWCA of Northwest Ohio.
