Crash injures two

Two motorists were injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash.
Drivers David Arens, a 52 year old Sherwood man, and 20-year-old Robert Mattraw of Celina were taken to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital. Mattraw was then taken by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital.
Ohio Highway Patrol Troopers say at 5:35 a.m. yesterday, Mattraw was southbound on The Bend Road and collided with Arens, who was eastbound on Defiance County Road 424. Troopers reported that Arens was wearing a safety belt, while Mattraw was not. The crash remains under investigation.
