A doctor with the Bryan Community Health Center says synthetic fentanyl is moving into Northwest Ohio, and it’s coming from Chinese labs, which Dr. Warren Morris says are making it “by the boxcar.” Heroin is more expensive, and fentanyl is more deadly. It’s blamed for the death of Prince. Morris says fentanyl overdose victims usually “nod off without warning” as soon as the drug hits their system while the needle is still in their arm. The drug is known on the streets as China White. One particular concern is it being absorbed through the skin. Experts say do not touch or pick up the product or even the baggies it comes in, because one can overdose from accidental exposure. The Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force says to call them and they’ll handle it.
