North Central High School is turning into a pile of rubble and memories. The demolition has begun on the school which was built in 1922. Bystanders watched as crews began tearing away at the beautiful old building. Even the principal Tom Rettig got a chance to use an excavator and take down a small bit of history. He said he has mixed emotions but is looking forward to the new facility. The new structure going up next door is a single-story, 35,000 square-foot building to house grades seven through 12.
