Edgerton boy scout wins National Pinewood Derby Championship

An Edgerton, Ohio boy won the overall and Webelos First ever World Pinewood Derby Championship in New York City on Saturday. Taylor Dietsch won several qualifying events leading up to the world championships held in Times Square. Dietsch took first place in his Edgerton Boy Scout Troop Pack 20, District, Council and state events. The big race on Saturday came after he’d competed with more than 250 scouts from all over the US. Dietsch was welcomed home to Edgerton Sunday evening with a parade of fire trucks. The trophies are almost bigger than he is.
