Jet ski explosion injures Michigan woman

A 23-year-old Michigan woman was injured on the 4th of July when her jet ski exploded on Coldwater Lake and caught on fire. It happened about 12:30 p.m. on the lake’s north side, according to the Branch County Sheriff’s Department. The jet ski was found engulfed in flames. The victim’s name has not been released. She was ejected from the jet ski during an explosion and was taken to shore where an off-duty emergency room doctor helped her. The preliminary investigation deciphers that the jet ski stalled and the explosion took place while the rider attempted to re-start it.
