Thelma M. Strup, age 79, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 3:45 A.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Park View Nursing Center after an extended illness. Known as a hard- working person, she had been employed throughout the years at Dolly’s Restaurant, Ken’s IGA, Wilson Tri-State Seed, M & W Carry-out, Fleetwood Industries and Mansion Homes. She had also been a member of Edgerton American Legion Auxiliary, Edgerton Fire Department Auxiliary and Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233.
Thelma M. Strup was born on July 27, 1933, in Garrett, Indiana, the daughter of Wesley and Lida (Bea) Dennison. She married John F. Strup on May 5, 1951, in Garrett, Indiana, and he survives.
Survivors also include three daughters, Laura Wright (and fiancé, Steven Knapp), of Bryan, Ohio, Sherri (Neal) Kimpel and Lisa (Brad) Warner, both of Edgerton, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, Richard Witsaman, who was like a son to John and Thelma, two brothers, Eugene Dennison, of Lakeland, Florida, and Clifford (Helen) Dennison, of Butler, Indiana, and one sister, Mabel, Snyder, of Garrett. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther and Charles Dennison, and one sister, Matilda Burniston.
Private interment will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton.
