CORRECTIONS OFFICER POSSIBLY HEADED TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE

A cor­rec­tions offi­cer at the North­west Ohio Juve­nile Deten­tion, Train­ing and Reha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter has been charged in con­nec­tion with the sex­ual bat­tery of a juve­nile under court cus­tody.

27 year old Robert R. Plotts of Hol­gate, is accused of com­mit­ting the crime on or around May 11.

Accord­ing to the Bryan Times, inves­ti­ga­tors say the inci­dent took place in Mont­pe­lier, not at the deten­tion cen­ter in Stryker.

The alleged vic­tim was 17 years old. Accord­ing to the paper, as of Mon­day after­noon, Plotts had not yet been appre­hended.

If con­victed of third-degree felony sex­ual bat­tery, Plotts could be star­ing at up to five years in prison.

He has an ini­tial court appear­ance ten­ta­tively sched­uled for July 1.
