Community members in Edon gathered Wednesday for an informational meeting to discuss the renewal of Edon Northwest Local School District’s 1% earned income tax, first passed in 2015 and set to expire at the end of this year. The tax, which funds essential school operations, will appear on the May 6 ballot. District officials emphasized this is not a new tax but a continuation of an existing one, necessary to sustain the district’s current programs and services.
