West Unity Village sending a bill to the Ohio Turnpike for damage at a pump station

West Unity Village will be sending a bill to the Ohio Turnpike for damage at a pump station. At Thursday’s regular village council meeting Village Administrator Josh Fritsch said that over several years, grease had built up in the pump station. Fritsch added that the damage was due to restaurants location on the Turnpike that have pumped their grease traps in such a way that the grease enters the pump station. Separately, Williams County Engineer Todd Roth presented draft aerial maps of storm sewers in the village. The maps indicate where lines run with GPS coordinates and elevations. Final versions of the maps are expected to be presented at the next council meeting and will include PDF files.
