Accident involving two semis on Indiana toll road

The Orland Fire Department was called to the 139 mile marker eastbound on the Indiana Toll Road Sunday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. for a reported accident invovling two semis with entrapment. The Fremont Fire Department was called to assist with more extrication equipment and manpower. The driver of the front semi advised that he had slowed for traffic when the second semi struck him in the rear. The front driver was not injured. The driver of the second semi was treated at the scene by Steuben County EMS and transported from the scene by Samaritan helicopter to a Fort Wayne area hospital.
