30 year old Bobbi Brkovic of Paulding was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted on an aggravated vehicular homicide charge in Paulding. The sentence will be suspended if she successfully completes three years of community control and 60 days in jail on the aggravated vehicular homicide charge. Brkovic also had her operator’s license suspended for three years with driving privileges after 30 days, and was ordered to have no contact with the victim’s families, to not possess or consume alcohol or drugs, visit no bars or taverns, and participate in a treatment program or community service where she can share what happened to deter others. Visiting Judge C. Douglas Chamberlain of Logan County stated Brkovic could have faced a maximum sentence of 36 months in prison, a license suspension for life and $10,000 fine.
