A New York man was killed when he was struck by a tractor trailer early Saturday morning on the Ohio Turnpike in Williams County. 31 year old Hanad Mohamed of Buffalo, New York, was driving west on the Turnpike near mile marker 4.6 at about 2:05 a.m. when his car struck a deer. The vehicle was left disabled and in the roadway from the deer collision. Mohamed exited the vehicle and was standing in the left lane when he was struck by a westbound semi tractor-trailer driven by 22 year old Artur Volfson of Hallandale Beach, Florida. The tractor-trailer veered off the left side of the roadway and into the median. Mohamed sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Volfson and a passenger in the sleeper section of the cab were both uninjured.
