Asbestos abatement at Lincoln Elementary is scheduled to wrap up on Dec. 2

Asbestos abatement at Lincoln Elementary is scheduled to wrap up on Dec. 2, with the demolition process to start not long thereafter. Those wanting to view the event at their 100-year old alma mater will need to exercise some patience. Felix Jagodzinski, Rudolph Libbe Inc.’s project manager for both the middle school renovation and Lincoln Elementary deconstruction, confirmed that the tear-down process at the former elementary building will begin the week of Dec. 5, at daybreak. However, everyone will have plenty of time to see the building come down as that phase, much like the asbestos abatement, could take six to eight weeks to complete.
