Margaret L. Leupp, age 86, of Stryker passed away Saturday December 3, 2016 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center. Margaret wore many hats throughout her years of employment with great memories and many relationships from her years at Sauder’s Woodworking and Dr. Turriten’s dental office. She was a member of the St. John Christian Church in Archbold as well as active in the Eastern Stars, Rainbow Girls and Sweet Adeline’s. She was also an avid supporter of local sports.
Mrs. Leupp was born on November 4, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. Born during the depression Margaret was placed along with three of her siblings in the Lucas County Children’s Home before being raised from age 9 by her foster parents Frank and Lillian Sine of Stryker. On August 29, 1953 she married John Leupp and she spent her life deeply devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Leupp is survived by her daughter Joyce Leupp Davis (Steve) of Amherst, Pat Leupp of Stryker, son Gary (Melissa) Leupp of Edgerton, Grandchildren Casie (Keith) Radke, Alicia (Cecil) Hook, Holly Leupp, Betsy Davis, Nick Davis, Stevia Davis, four great grandchildren and special friend of the family, Sue Roth. Also surviving is brother Donald Toland. She was preceded in death by her husband John and her siblings Betty Sweeney, Ralph Toland and Gilbert Roland and foster brothers Robert Hendricks and Fred Hendricks. She leaves behind her a legacy of love, loyalty, laughter and service to others.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday December 5, 2016 at the St. Johns Christian Church in Archbold with Pastor Erich Chrisman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time on Monday at the church. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Stryker. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either to the St. Johns Christian Church Building Project or the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center.
