Bradley Gillespie has filed an appeal asking the court to consider granting him a new trial, or overturning his double murder conviction in the deaths of Montpelier graduate Hannah Fischer and her boyfriend, Frank Tracy Jr. The 43 year old Gillespie was sentenced Oct. 31 to two consecutive sentences of 15 years to life, as well as a mandatory two years for a gun specification. If the conviction stands, Gillespie’s first parole hearing would be in February 2048. Defiance attorney Timothy Holtsberry has been assigned as Gillespie’s counsel for the appeal.
