If you drive past the old Lincoln Elementary School on East Butler Street in Bryan you’ll see nothing but a pile of rubble as the iconic school is now history. Demolition of the structure is all but complete after having gotten underway on Tuesday. It will be followed by nearly two weeks of on-site crushing and sorting. The remaining debris will be piled into a hole that was once the school’s basement. For alums of the school, bricks from Lincoln will be available on site free of charge as the building comes down.
