Edgerton pays off a four-decade old debt

Edgerton has a paid off a four-decade old debt that has put the village in a position to be relieved of its fiscal emergency status. Edgerton Village Administrator Dawn Fitzcharles announced the village paid off an outstanding sewer debt of nearly $293,000. The debt goes back to the 1970s, when it started at around $800,000 after the village redid its entire sewer system.
