Bronson man facing multiple charges after high speed chase

An update on a story we brought you earlier this week on a Bronson man who was arraigned on multiple charges after leading police on a high speed chase through two states. Branch County District Court officials say 43 year old Scott Calloway is now facing three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and a charge of third degree fleeing from a police officer after a high speed chase through several counties on Sunday morning. The chase lasted over 40 minutes and went into Hillsdale County and then Branch County were Calloway left the road and wrecked the car in a field on Southern Road. Calloway is behind held on a $250 ,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for January 24. A woman who got out of the car before the chase began, 44 year old Diana Rodriguez, was arrested on fugitive warrants out of Elkhart County.
