Firefighters from three area departments called to a fire in Continental early Wednesday morning

Firefighters from three area departments were called to a fire in Continental early Wednesday morning that destroyed a home. According to Continental Fire Chief Steve Elkins, at 12:10 a.m. firefighters were called to a house in the 300 block of W. Rice St. for a report of a fire in a wall of the residence. The home, owned by Seth Weller, is considered a total loss, though the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. No injuries were reported to the occupants.
