Williams County Commissioners awarded a $1.917 million bid for the Clark Street extension project

Williams County Commissioners awarded a $1.917 million bid for the Clark Street extension project in Pioneer during their regular session Thursday. Commissioners chose Salenbien Trucking and Excavating Inc., of Dundee, Michigan, for the project. Salenbien was the low bidder among 10 companies that submitted bids last month. The 10 bids ranged from $1.917 million to $2.24 million. The estimated project cost was $2.05 million. The project includes extending Clark Street about 0.75 miles north, then about half a mile west, to hook in with Core Way Drive; and extending Industrial Avenue east to the entrance to the industrial park. The work includes new curbs, gutters and all other necessary street infrastructure.
