Steve Marvin sworn in as a new West Unity Village Council member

The Village of West Unity now has a news council member. Steve Marvin was sworn in as a new West Unity Village Council member at Thursday’s regular meeting. Marvin was unanimously chosen by the council after an executive session. Besides Marvin, residents Ken Esterline and Dave Dempsey had applied for the position. Marvin had previously served on the Millcreek-West Unity school board. He had also been a railroad supervisor and operated an excavating business. He replaces Randy Mahlman who resigned from council in December before taking a position with the village as a water/wastewater supervisor.
