A celebration of life will be held Saturday for OSU student from Defiance

A celebration of life will be held Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 Mulberry St., Bryan for Defiance High School graduate 20 year old Austin Thiel who died from injuries as the result of a two-vehicle crash on Jan. 20 in the Columbus area. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Thiel and his friend, Michael French Jr., were on Westerville Road at 11:30 p.m. Friday pushing a disabled SUV southbound when they were struck by a southbound vehicle. Both Thiel and his friend, Michael French Jr. were seriously injured and taken to Columbus area hospitals, where Thiel then died.
