Edgerton Village Council approves contracts to update maps

The Edgerton Village Council approved contracts to update maps and bring the village into compliance with state law Monday evening. Dawn Fitzcharles, village administrator, said both contracts were from Poggemeyer Design Group out of Bowling Green. The first was a $500 contract to update the utility map. The other contract was for lead and copper distribution system mapping. According to Fitzcharles, this is a requirement that stems from House Bill 12. She added that by March 9, the village is suppose to identify and map distribution systems and/or single buildings for lead and copper service lines and that the contract proposal is for $3,000.
