Former Bryan City School bus driver sentenced on a reduced charge of disorderly conduct

A former Bryan City School bus driver has been sentenced on a reduced charge of disorderly conduct after a child was left on a bus in a December incident. 49 year old Victoria Rummel of West Unity, was initially charged with endangering children in connection to the incident in which a three-year-old was left on a school bus in the bus garage after procedural checks were apparently not followed at the conclusion of a route. Two other employees, an administrative assistant and a bus aide, were not charged as part of the Bryan Police investigation, but were temporarily suspended by the district. Rummel’s charge was lessened during a Feb. 7 pretrial hearing in Bryan Municipal Court.
