Holgate man charged following an investigation into a possible scam in Napoleon

A Holgate man has been charged following an investigation into a possible scam in Napoleon. 43 year old Herbert Urdiales was charged with receiving stolen property of a vehicle and license plates; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments. His initial court appearance will be at 9 a.m. today. Urdiales was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker. Urdiales’ arrest follows an investigation of a possible scam at Little Caesar’s Pizza in Napoleon by the Napoleon Police Department. The business had reported a scam, similar to what had happened in other store locations. Officers determined that Urdiales had an outstanding warrant from the Toledo Police Department for failure to appear. He also was in possession of a vehicle stolen from Defiance County and stolen license plates from another vehicle.
