Nadine K. Wilcox, 73, of Montpelier passed away late Tuesday night at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. She was born on October 18, 1943 in Jefferson Township to Otis E. and Thelma E. (Wright) Mercer. Nadine graduated from Montpelier High School in 1962. She was a member of the Montpelier Church of Christ. In 2010 Nadine retired as a rural delivery driver for the Bryan Times after 23 years.
She is survived by two brothers, Jerald (Donna) Mercer of Edon, and Larry (Rita) Mercer of Montpelier; two sisters, Deloris J. Wiyrick of Bryan, and Lynette (Marvin) Bernath of Pioneer; brother-in-law Lyle Allomong of Edon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, son David Wilcox in 1965, two brothers Otis Jr., and Wilber Mercer, two sisters Nancy Allomong and Janice Hendricks, and two brother-in-law’s, Paul Wiyrick and Robert “Jess” Hendricks.
Visitation for Nadine will be on Friday, February 24th from 11am-2pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier. Services will be on follow at 2pm at the church with Reverend David Tilly to officiate. Interment will follow at West Jefferson Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
